Performing Arts is at the centre of our practice due to the owners own experience of the positive impact performance based activities can have on children. We utilise Performing Arts to increase the children’s confidence and provide them with a new skill set to enter school with. There is a qualified Performing Arts specialist on site on a daily basis to ensure this teaching is consistent throughout both settings.
Each term, Little Men and Misses children take part in a small show which parents are invited to watch, this gives the children a chance to show off what they have been learning and gives parents an insight into some of the things their children get up to! Partnership with parents is very important to Little Stars Educational Services and the shows provide a perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other better.
Tiny Men and Misses also offers Performing Arts activities but on a more basic level; all children have the chance to sing and dance each day as well as the opportunity to explore materials which stimulate their senses.
Little Stars Educational Services have seen a dramatic improvement in children’s self-esteem and confidence through regular opportunities to perform and have fun. We have found that our Performing Arts workshops not only increases children’s performance skills but gives them the opportunity to have fun with friends and improve the bond between both staff and children. The children love learning new songs and routines and often remember them for years to come.
